In another contract associated with the 230km BBL gas pipeline from the Netherlands, Bluelimit undertook testing on the beach pull of the 36" line, on behalf of project engineers Land & Marine.

It goes without saying that in a project such as this, inspection and quality assurance are paramount considerations for public safety, and Bluelimit deployed a range of techniques, including radiography, ultrasonics and magnetic particle inspection. The contract not only involved tight deadlines, but also required us to contend with East coast tides and winter weather, in a very exposed location. Nonetheless, the work was completed on time and within budget.
